2019/20 Edmonton Oilers Rumors: Is This the New Alternative Oilers Jersey for the 2020/21 Season?

Hey there Oilers fans! Good news! I got a tip the other night on a private line from a source claiming that Edmonton Oilers’ alternative jersey that they’ll be using in the 2020/21 NHL season is set to look very similar to the one in the picture below.

Could this be the “throwback with a twist” that Icethetics.com was talking about back in March? I wonder where the “twist” will come in?

Now, don’t take this as gospel folks. You have to take it with a grain of salt until more news starts coming in (as one does with any rumor). Anything could change between now and when the new jerseys are announced.

That said, I’m very curious about the direction Adidas will take these new unis. They’ve got a massive opportunity to win big with the public here but I’ve been disappointed in the past, not just with the Oilers uniforms but other clubs’ as well. They’d do well to check out Instagram and see some of the mock-ups that are out there right now I feel.

The sales are starting to trickle in with this design and I’m going to spam the hell out of it on my website and the BLH Hockey Instagram because I feel passionate about it and I feel like Hockey is Diversity deserves the proceeds that I’ll be donating to them.

So, please. If you’ve got an extra $20 lying around and you want to do a good thing for good people, click the pic down below and grab a t-shirt, a mask, a onesie, a tank top, or some stickers.

Hockey is Diversity is a German group whose aim is to draw attention to the ethnic diversity in society, which goes beyond the sporting borders in order to sensitize people interculturally. The diversity that has long been regarded as an enrichment in sport as a melting pot of people of different ethnicities, cultures, and religions should also be transferred to society.
