Edmonton Oilers Rumors: Local Oilers Pundit Says Oilers Have ANOTHER Forward Who Might Not Be Able To Start the Season

Jason Gregor (TSN1260) announced on the Dec.30th edition of his show (during the segment with Ryan Rishaug) that the Edmonton Oilers might have another forward who might not be able to start the season with the team. He mentioned it will be announced shortly and that the player isn’t Gaetan Haas who just arrived in Edmonton two days ago and he isn’t set to hit the ice until the 5th or 6th of January.

Here’s the direct quote,

“I’m hearing that the Oilers have a forward here who’s going to be announced that might not be ready to start the season. So I’m wondering, trying to find out who that is… Maybe that’s why they brought in Devin Shore.

Weekly guest Ryan Rishaug replied thusly,

“That would make the PTO make even more sense. I mean you laid out the situation with the numbers pretty clearly, right? There’s only so much room.

I did look into this (Shore) in Anaheim and the word I got back was “really good, really good guy. Can play any position you need him to play in, can kill penalties, can do lots of things and he just got jammed up on an organization that need to play younger players.””

So I guess we’ll play the waiting game, eh? I won’t begin to speculate on who it could be because I don’t even know where to start and the team is just going to announce it anyhow. Hopefully, it’s not someone who the Oilers rely on heavily…

That said, when one door closes, another opens up…

More to come!
