Oilers to Land Powerplay “QB”

  • **DISCLAIMER!!**
Because there are some folks who seem to lack the ability to discern between satire and seriousness, we need to put up this disclaimer. This is NOT a post intended to be taken seriously!! It’s a satirical piece. That is all. Please enjoy the creative musings of one Kosmic Burrito!*

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am absolutely honoured and truly humbled, that the Oilers chose me, Kosmic Burrito, to break this story to the masses! Why me? Let’s just say that I know a guy…

Ok Ok, truth is, I sold some ‘shrooms to someone in management. I won’t name any name’s, but his name rhymes with “Greg BackRadish”. I also filmed him while on said ‘shrooms, and basically said that if they don’t want this thing to go full blown “Rob Ford Crack Video” scandal styles. Then they need to ante up some inside information to me and our wonderful staff here at Beer League Heroes. Because trust me, this dude’s so weird and wrong on sooooo many levels, and I have the video to prove it! Soooo, which brings me here, you trippy, weird, beautiful creatures! Oh how I missed you glorious bastards!! Alright, let’s get to this breaking news story!

Great Lawdy, Lawdy, Lawd! Oh sweet baby Jesus! Our PP QB prayers have been answered, and by a holy roller himself! Thank you sweet, sweet, sweeeeet baby Jesus! Hallelujah! Can I get an Amen!

Ok, first off, yes you read that right. Craig MacTavish has found, and signed a right handed, power play “Quarterback” defenceman. Yes, that Craig MacTavish, the one that everyone (myself included) thought was going to be banished from the organization when Peter Chiarelli was hired. Nope, not a facking chance people! This cock-a-roach survived the cleanup! Not only did he survive, but he is in fact able to sign players, as well as tons of other cool shit! Here we all thought that they kept him on out respect for the “old boys club”. No way dude, he’s Craig Mac-facking-Tavish! He don’t need no helmet foo’! So I spoke with Craig over the phone, and he was absolutely ecstatic! His energy was contagious, and I started to get giddier than a little Catholic choir boy waiting for the Priest to tuck him in, waiting in anticipation for him to hurry up and tell me.

“You know Kosmic, I should tell you all about how great of a talent evaluator I am when it comes to defencemen. I can spot a grade ‘A’ defenceman a mile away. Nikitin, Fayne, Ference, oh God, I could do this all day.” Craig said.

“Thanks sir, but if we could get on with this breaking news story, that would be stellar!” I replied.

“Fair enough. So I’m sure you’ve been paying attention to the world of sports lately, and aware of most things. Well, one of the more popular news stories lately is about a high profile athlete, who is trying to switch sports. This athlete used to play pro football, and now wants to switch over to baseball. Yesterday he tried out in front of twenty plus teams. Including your beloved Blue Jays.” Said Mactavish.

“Yeah I’ve read something about that, kind of like some wannabe Bo Jackson stuff. What’s that have to do with the player that you signed? You’re a confusing cat MacT.” I said.

“Well, I went down to the baseball skill showcase, I really liked what I saw and actually met with thisyoung man. Kosmic, I’m so proud to announce that Tim Tebow has signed with the Edmonton Oilers, and will become our new power play “quarterback”!!!” MacTavish nearly shouted with absolute excitement. “He has changed his mind about playing baseball, and decided that he would like to try hockey instead. And I was the lucky one to sign him! Trust me, I know a thing or two about winners, and I learned from the best, Mr. Kevin Lowe himself! Plus we all know how well I can judge defensive talent, so this was a complete no brainer.”

“Are you serious Craig? Tim facking Tebow?” I shouted.

“Damn skippy I am! I’ve never felt so confident in my life. I think he has Norris potential. Sure, we need to teach him how to skate, so I asked Andrew Ference to help get him up to speed. Trust me, we found our quarterback on the back end.” MacTavish said with a shit eating grin.

Tim Tebow himself then stepped into the room, and headed over.

“Hi Mr. Tebow, welcome to Oil Country, and I guess technically welcome to the entire world of hockey.” I said.

Tim then said, “First off, I want to give thanks to sweet baby Jesus. Without him…..

Just then a loud horn started to go off. Like really loud, almost like it’s directly in front of me! What is going on? What’s that noise? Oh wow…where did Craig and Tim go? Next thing you know, I narrowly avoided being hit by a city bus in the middle of the street. What the what???? Oh shit, not again.. where are my clothes?

That ladies and gentlemen, is when my ‘shrooms wore off. No, no, NO!! So I didn’t interview MacT? You mean I don’t have an inside link for Oilers info? And I’m not MacT’s dealer? We didn’t land our highly coveted RHD PP QB Tim Tebow? Oh wow….dammit these mushrooms are way too bonkers! I better find some clothes!

As always, stay trippy my friends and buy a shirt!

Stauffer Says…

Welcome to another episode of Stauffer Says… Where we recap some of the things that the host of Oilers Now!, Bob Stauffer, has said that should bring our ears to attention as fans of the greatest hockey club in the world!

So, over the last two days The Stauff has mentioned the following players:

  • Mike Richards (Left-handed centre, UFA)
  • Cody Franson (Right-handed D, BUF)
  • Adam McQuaid (Right-handed D, BOS)
  • Nail Yakupov (Left-handed RW, EDM)

I haven’t been through all of today’s episode yet but I wanted to bring this stuff up first and if Spector has something notable to mention, I’ll write another article entitled, “Spector Says!”…

The Oilers Defence (August 30th Episode)

“I’m going to be very interested to see how a Klefbom pairing with Adam Larsson could maybe play 20 minutes a game and be the Oilers top pairing, then move everybody else down in a spot that they belong. Maybe Sekera plays with Fayne on a second pairing. Maybe Davidson playing with Darnell Nurse on the third pairing.

And who knows, maybe there may be another addition. Specifically on the right side.”

BINGO BANGO!

This is following the show from Monday where he talked about Adam McQuaid and then subsequently had Bruins beat writer, Joe Haggerty, as a guest on the same show. Maybe it’s nothing though.

I asked my insider about McQuaid and it said that Chiarelli “likes him” but that’s it. Of course Chiarelli likes him, he’s definitely a Chia-type player and the team does need a righty for the third pairing but wouldn’t Eric Gryba be a cheaper option if they were looking for a stay-at-home blueliner? McQuaid makes $3M per year, does he not?

BUFFALO SABRES (August 30th Episode)

“The Buffalo Sabres are an org. that was hoping to get Jimmy Vesey, they did not. They were quite upset at the fact that they did not get Vesey and they do need some scoring…”

Stauffer then talks about the Evander Kane situation but adds this,

“…Buffalo needs some help scoring on the wing. So, who is to say? Do I think Cody Franson could be had by trade? Absolutely.”

So we’re back on the Franson train. I’ve always liked his size and skating ability and the year he decided to shoot the puck he did well. For whatever reason, he’s gone trigger shy recently and this is a sentiment that is shared from my source. Oilers like his size but figure he doesn’t shoot the pill enough.

Stauffer added this to the Franson comments,

“They’ve got another guy named Casey Nelson, who came in late last year, who could come in and probably play third pairing minutes and that might make a guy like Franson; who really was, frankly, not deployed in the manner where he would be successful because he didn’t get a lot of 1st unit powerplay time in Buffalo last year. That might make a guy like Franson expendable. So, maybe they could use a little bit of offense.

Well, do the Oilers have anything they could potentially move offensively?

Back to Nail Yakupov, right? Now that being said, I don’t know if I would do Yakupov for Cody Franson straight up. I think the Sabres would be prepared to move Franson for, frankly speaking, relatively little and I think at this stage; you look at that.

You may not even have to give up Yakupov to get Franson but would Franson be a good short-term 1-year thing.”

I reckon this is just Stauffer pontificating on different options. If the Oilers wanted Franson, they could get him but I wonder; how different are the values for Franson and Yakupov at this point?

NAIL YAKUPOV

When I asked about Nail Yakupov I was told that he will be with the team until around the trade deadline. Sometimes radio guys just need something to talk about and Yak is an easy topic to go on. I was also told that there HAVE been offers on Yak but nothing to the Oilers satisfaction to date. As a person, the Oilers love him, but he hasn’t produced to the level expected of him and there are some in the Oilers organisation that believe that Jesse Puljujarvi is already better than him.

As a person, the Oilers love him, but he hasn’t produced to the level expected of him and there are some in the Oilers organisation that believe that Jesse Puljujarvi is already better than him. So I imagine that places Puljujarvi on the 2nd line with Nuge and Yak on the third line with Draisaitl if we’re contemplating line combos.

Now the kicker… Nail is going to have a great year because that’s what the majority of players have in contract years and the fact that he wants out will motivate him even more. This is a perfect storm for Edmonton because they need to move him or risk losing him for nothing at the expansion draft. Even if he does have a 60 point year, his time in Edmonton has been soured and he’ll be looking for major skrilla if said breakout does occur.

McDavid, Nurse, Reinhart, and Draisaitl are all going to need new contracts sooner than later and that plays into things as well.

A 3rd rounder is what I suspect the Oilers fetch for him if not more.

MIKE RICHARDS (August 30th Episode)

“In terms of a potential centre, I know there’s been lots of names bandied about. I would prefer to go with a guy that’s a little bit younger on a PTO….

We talked about Dominic Moore and Cody Hodgson a couple of days ago here and since then Moore has signed on with the Bruins. But Stauffer does talk drop Mike Richards’ name…

“If I were Mike Richards and I’m looking to jump start things. If I were a player like that, that to me might the scenario where I can beat out Anton Lander for a spot in Edmonton. My guess is that Mike Richards might have an opportunity with a couple of other organizations as well.”

I asked my source about Richards and it said that Richards “might” come and that Chiarelli will look at him IF he can help the team at the third line centre position.

I’m not completely sold on Richards. I watched him get his ass handed to him during the Pens/Caps playoff series and I sort of soured on him but as Brendan Ullrich pointed out, Richards came in half way through the season and it’s possible that may have had an impact on his performance. Then again, one of the concerns with Richards coming back was his ability to keep up…

As for Anton Lander, I’ve been told that he’d best have the best training camp of his career or else he’ll find himself in the AHL for the remainder of his contract.

GRIFFIN REINHART

On the August 29th episode of Oilers Now! Bob Stauffer was talking about Griffin Reinhart and it sounded like because of Reinhart’s contract and its bonus structure, that he’d be in Bakersfield to start the year. But as Bob says, he’s a left-shot that can play the right point. That has to count for something. But if the Oilers have Draisaitl, Puljujarvi, McDavid, and Nurse all on the big team; that’s a lot of bonus going on.

Would the Oilers be willing to move on from Griffin Reinhart in fear of losing him at the expansion draft do you think? Or will there simply be better players available on the Oilers roster for Las Vegas to take?

Personally, I still think he’s going to come good for Edmonton but I’m an eternal optimist and one has to ask himself, who does Reinhart beat out for a spot on the Oilers roster next year or the year after? Darnell Nurse would have to fall into a wood-chipper for Reinhart to beat him out. Sekera looks to have his spot cemented and unless Oscar Klefbom has his foot amputated, he looks to be sorted.

I want to say Reinhart could just go over to the right-side but it seems as if the Oilers are hell-bent on getting the lefty-righty pairings done up.

Would you move him? Because the more you look at his situation, it gets worse and worse. Ethan Bear is coming soon. Matt Benning was just signed. What about Jordan Oesterle and Joey LaLeggia? Will Dillon Simpson finally come good for the Oilers? Zayat Paigin is burning up the KHL right now and this Niemelainen fella playing in Saginaw, how long until he’s playing in the Bake? David Musil anybody?…

Peter Chiarelli might have to buck up, admit mistake and move on from Reinhart sooner than later.

PTOs: Oilers Takin’ Care of Business

Earlier Oilers Now! host Bob Stauffer put out this incredibly “cryptic” tweet about the Oilers bringing in a centre on a PTO and as Stauff says there, all of the Oilers top pivots will be playing at the World Cup of Hockey in the Big Smoke (Toronto) at the beginning of training camp.

WHO THEY BRINGING IN?

Well, I was talking to friend a friend of the blog and he mentioned Dominic Moore and his name was tossed out there by Sammi Silber over at Oil on Whyte.

“However, his problems stem from capitalizing on opportunities, and he can be inconsistent at times. Overall, he is a decent forward to fill out the third or fourth line,a and would be an upgrade over Letestu.”

I don’t agree here. Moore is 36 years old and is barely a 4th line centre in the league right now and he’s left-handed BUT his name is one of two that I’ve been told the Oilers are looking at bringing in.

Silber also mentioned the oft-injured David Legwand and the towering Paul Gaustad. Both of whom the Oilers could’ve had in the past but passed on and at this point I don’t see them wanting to get that much slower or that much older.

NAME NO.2

Cody “mutha fackin'” Hodgson eh? Here’s a kid, 26 years old only, who can’t seem to find a place to get set up and it’s a shame really. I really liked him in junior and he was looking like quite the prospect. A back injury is what derailed him if I’m not mistaken…

That’s a lot of usage of the word “lack”…

The former 10th overall pick from the 2008 NHL Entry Draft (Vancouver) spent the first two seasons of his career in the Canucks’ organization before being moved to Buffalo for current Oiler, Zack Kassian. Then he spun his wheels in Buffalo for four seasons putting up 99 points in 218 games (approx. 0.45 ppg) and after the Sabres got tired of his inconsistent play, he was bought out of his 6 year deal with four of those years remaining. Hodgson found a lifeline in Nashville but unfortunately his scoring touch was still in Brampton (Hodgson played for the Brampton Battalion of the OHL).

I’ve shat on him a bit here but IF he could rekindle the touch he had in 2012 and to a lesser extend in 2013, the Oilers would really have a nice complimentary centre in the three-hole.

So here’s the thing, Hodgson is a right-handed centre and that truly is what the Oilers are looking for. Nobody’s saying that if the Oilers offered him a PTO and he accepted it, that he’d be an Oiler come October. If the boys are going into camp with Letestu, Caggiula, Platzer, Chase, and Lander… The more NHL-level talent (if you can still regard Hodgson as that), the better.

Speaking of Lander, expect him to spend the remainder of his contract in Bakersfield. I don’t think the Oilers have time for him anymore since his offense packed its bags and went back to Sundsvall. He’s more or less in the same boat as Hodgson and if he were right-handed, we wouldn’t even be talking about this.

The one thing that both Lander and Moore have over Hodgson… They can win a draw. Hodgson’s career FO% is 46.4 and that’s not good enough.

WHAT ABOUT THIS GUY?

What about former Calgary Flame, Bill Arnold? Apart from having one of the most old-school names in hockey, Arnold was a decent scorer in NCAA with Boston College (144pts in 159gp) and put up respectable numbers in the AHL as well (60pts in 113gp).

“Arnold’s calling card screams two-way centre with shutdown capabilities. Whether it fully translates over to the NHL, or even AHL, remains to be seen. Judging from praise from his coach at Boston College, he can be counted upon to be responsible in all three zones. Coach Jerry York was able to deploy and utilize Arnold in all situations, including both the power play and penalty kill.” – Matchsticks and Gasoline

“Arnold is a hard-working center with some offensive instincts who can play the defensive shutdown role. He puts up solid offensive numbers by driving hard to the net in the attacking zone. Arnold is a physical two-way center with great character and an excellent work ethic. He is solidly built and has greatly improved his skating since his early college days but must continue to add mobility to compete at the NHL level. He can play on both specialty teams. Arnold has the hockey smarts to exploit his opponents’ weaknesses and recognize where his wingers are on the ice.” – HockeysFuture.com

So from what I’m gathering is that he’s a hard-working centre who can be utilized in a middle-bottom six role. He’s right-handed and he’s only 24 years old. I wish I could’ve found more info on his faceoff numbers in the AHL to give me a better idea of how he was on the dot. I really feel that the person playing 3C on the Oilers is going to have to be able to win draws as McDavid, Nuge, Draisaitl, and Letestu aren’t what you would call specialists in that area… Yet.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhR8NbUjUFk

Now Letestu… Mr.”I got over the Taylor Hall trade in about two days”. HA! That made me laugh when I read that and I’ve got some more time for Letestes now. We all know that players do not talk poorly about traded teammates. It’s taboo amongst the hockey players fraternity but Letestu is no.3 (make it no.4 if you read into the Bob Nicholson comments on

We all know that players do not talk poorly about traded teammates. It’s taboo amongst the hockey players fraternity but Letestu is no.3 (make it no.4 if you read into the Bob Nicholson comments on Oilers Now! from last week) in the last 30 days to speak in such a manner about Hall… Poor guy, can’t keep his shit together, can he? Do you think if he can bring it all in and harness those emotions that he’ll be a more valued veteran player that a young one? I dunno, to me he’s our generation’s Mike Gartner just from a skills and production view point.

Curses, ECHLers, and More!

The Oilers have one known curse to date, the Calder Curse. No matter how good a rookie is for the Edmonton Oilers, he just can’t seem to convince the eastern media that he’s worth the award. We could go through them individually from Gretzky to Fuhr to Arnott to Nuge to McDavid but that’s another blog for another time. Hopefully, The Sports Forecaster is right and Puljujarvi wins it this year.

But I want to talk about a different curse. It’s the Curse of the First… Overall pick that is.

The reason that the Oilers couldn’t get more for Hall is not because Peter Chiarelli is bad at making big trades involving star players, it’s because nobody in the NHL wanted to do the Oilers any favours after they draft first overall FOUR BLOODY TIMES. You could argue that it’s no fault of the Oilers, they were simply a product of the system put in place to prevent such things. But it’s my belief that they will continue to get shafted in trades unless they admit shame and lose trades that involve a high-profile member of the team OR they start winning.

I’m hoping for the latter but wouldn’t surprise me if they rid themselves of Nuge and Yak in an attempt to distance themselves from that era of the team’s history.

MATT BENNING

The Oilers signed the six-foot, two-hundred pound plus blue liner out of Northeastern to a 2-year deal today. He’s a rugged defender out of St.Alberta who can make a first pass and, here’s the key folks, he shoots right-handed. So now the Oilers depth on the right side looks as such:

Adam Larsson
Mark Fayne
Matt Benning

I believe the word underwhelming comes to mind and the problem is the Oilers won’t be able to do much due to the Curse of the First but I’m hearing that Mark Fayne has been training like a madman this summer and is coming to camp with a chip on his shoulder. He’s heard your words and he’s going to shove them up your ass… lol… I’m not really sure if that will happen or not but reading that sentence makes me laugh because, well, just envision Mark Fayne saying it.

Back to Benning…

Matt Benning is NOT a PP QB. He’s Andrew Ference to a lesser extent. Bob Stauffer reckons he’ll get a chance with the Oilers this upcoming season but you can bet, if he does, it won’t be because he’s better than Griffin Reinhart, Brandon Davidson or Jordan Oesterle.

I reckon Benning was signed simply for defensive depth on the AHL team. I can’t see him coming up for any reason in the next 2 years apart from injury call-up. He’s at best a no.4 dman in the AHL right now and it’s best he plays his way up the ladder at this point. If he surprises, great! But let’s keep expectations low.

You know what would be a solid expectation for him, top pairing minutes in Norfolk (ECHL).

His NHLe is 14 points. The same as Dillon Simpson, and three back of Joey LaLeggia… Someone on Twitter said he’s a right-handed David Musil…

Speaking of David Musil… I’ve heard inconsistent play is all that’s keeping him out of the NHL and what might send him to the ECHL.

Why not just sign Eric Gryba and get this over with. He’s a true NHL player that, from what I’ve been told, is turning other teams down because he wants to sign in Edmonton… Are the Oilers really going to tell Eric Gryba to “show them his dedication” before giving him a deal?

Last little tidbit, the Oilers are looking at a rugged right-handed centre who hasn’t been able to crack the lineup of his NHL club to date. He’s been fairly productive at the AHL level and he’s not eligible for waivers but his team doesn’t want to lose him for nothing and are looking for some depth on the back-end.

Questionable Sources

Well there you have it, Horcoff isn’t coming to Edmonton on a PTO and Gryba is still on the market. Brandon Pirri has signed in New York and if things follow the same path, Raffi Torres will still be a UFA by the time the 2016/17 NHL season starts.

All of the things I have tossed out there in the last week or so have passed without happening and I feel bad for you the reader but unfortunately that’s how she goes. Not everything I’m told comes to fruition, in fact very little of it comes true. I don’t put tons of concern into that though because, to be honest, it’s no skin off of my back. I don’t write for anybody but myself if we’re being completely frank.

I’m stoked that you will come to our site here and read what we have to say and comment on it but it’s really no different that heading over to the water cooler or coffee machine at work and having a chat about the Oilers.

That being said, Bob Stauffer mentioned on Oilers Now! that Matt Benning is signing somewhere (talked about 4 or 5 other teams being in the mix but tossed EDM and LA out specifically) by tomorrow afternoon and to keep an eye on Michael Stone.

I asked my source about Stone and it said that the Oilers are going to watch the Stone situation “loosely”. I guess that means they’ll be keeping an eye on him to see if he re-signs with the club or is shopped.

Stone is coming off of knee surgery and recently signed a 1-year deal with $4M according to Capfriendly.com

Now to the Main Attraction!

The title of the post is called “Questionable Sources” because of this post by Matt Henderson.

“It had been reported by some questionable sources that the Oilers were relatively close to signing veteran and former Captain Shawn Horcoff to a PTO. At the same time those questionable sources also suggest that Gryba was close to signing a PTO with the team.”

Now, as far as I know there were three accounts on Twitter speaking to one or both of the Horcoff/Gryba PTO rumours.

Kurt is a good guy. we’ve had a few chats on Twitter in the past. He’s not known to be the breaker of Oilers’ news per se but a wonderful writer over at Oil on Whyte nonetheless.

https://twitter.com/Boscorelli_HN/status/765771283376242689

This account belongs to Joshua Marshall I believe (E3), and it’s the one that put out the Yakupov for Petrovic rumours earlier this summer. I’m of the belief that Marshall is a good friend of Petrovic’s and that rumour might’ve been a practical joke.

I’ve never met this bloke before, seen his posts in the Edmonton Oilers Fans page on Facebook a few times, but a chance to talk to him, I have not had. 3PD tells me he’s good sh*t though.

Personally I have no problem with folks claiming they have an inside track because I know the odds of that being true or not. I think the fact of the matter is that it’s entertainment, we live in a gossip culture and everybody wants to know what’s going on behind the curtain. It drives hits to websites and followers to Twitter accounts. If you’re fortunate to work for a major media player, those hits and followers turn into $$$.

So maybe that’s the motivation for folks to have these rumor accounts? Maybe there’s a pipedream for some bloggers that believe that if they post these things, they’ll get a job with a team or a media conglomerate. I don’t know.

I write because it’s fun. If something comes of it, great! If nothing, that’s okay too!

The problem I do have is when writers like Henderson use phrases like “Questionable Sources” when everyone knows who the bloody source is. We all drink from the same watering hole, do we not? It’s a dick move to be honest. Either you say who it is or you don’t write it.

I don’t know, maybe my ego is so big that I couldn’t fathom anyone talking about anything other than myself or maybe Henderson is afraid to link to my post where I wrote:

“I’ve been told there’s a chance that Shawn Horcoff and Eric Gryba will be offered a chance to make the 2016/17 Edmonton Oilers if they choose to accept a PTO.”

Then again maybe we don’t know but you can take a pretty educated guess if you’re paying attention.

So Henderson writes,

“…the Oilers were relatively close to signing veteran and former Captain Shawn Horcoff to a PTO. At the same time those questionable sources also suggest that Gryba was close to signing a PTO with the team.”

And I write that,

“there’s a chance…”

Maybe my post wasn’t the source but there’s a chance…

Well anyways, that Matt Henderson post on Hockeybuzz is a pretty big ego trip of its own in my opinion.

“I make an effort not to “Break” news unless I have a very good reason to believe I have good information. To date, it has happened once. It was Jeff Petry’s contract negotiation status…

I wouldn’t even consider stating that Horcoff and Gryba were close to signing PTOs without having heard that from a legitimate source.”

Well good for Matty. What a saint.

With regards to that break on Jeff Petry’s contract negotiations, I was talking to the exact same contact that Henderson was but I was told not to say anything online about it. So either in my naivety or my stupidity, the contact went to Henderson with the info and Matt posted it on Oilersnation and was on Lowetide’s show talking about it.

I’ve often found it weird that this person didn’t go to Jason Gregor, Lowetide, or a guy like Ryan Rishaug with the information. Why go to a guy that calls himself Beer League Hero or Matt Henderson?

Anyways, the tidbits I get told are things I feel I should share with you because I feel like you’d like to know. I’m not afraid to share them with you because, like I said above, it’s no skin off of my back and we don’t sell more shirts because of it.

My source trusts me and I trust it.

You should never be afraid to do or say something in fear of what others will think or say. Within reason of course.

Matt Henderson is a wonderful Oilers blogger, really. I have no qualms with him on a personal level. He’s great on Twitter and his spots on Reid Wilkins’ show are quite entertaining. If you’re not reading his posts on Hockeybuzz or Oilersnation, you really should be.

To conclude, I’m a bit bent about his post but what Mr.Henderson wrote is not wrong at all. The source of the information in his blog, be it my post or another, IS questionable. It should be.

But shouldn’t everything be questionable? Especially the shirts below!
